September 10, 2021 - New York, NY: Today, the NYC-native Des Rocs released “Hanging by a Thread,” the third single from his forthcoming debut album, A Real Good Person In A Real Bad Place. The highly anticipated album will be available on September 24 via 300 Entertainment (Megan Thee Stallion, Highly Suspect) and marks the start of a 20+ date tour of iconic venues around the country featuring special guests The Velveteers.

“‘Hanging by a Thread’ is about the lifeline that ties us to shore in dark times.” says Des. “It's one of the most personal songs on my album, and deals with feeling adrift through hard days. This song has a fight and spirit to it that guided me through the journey of making this album. Even though this song poured out in a few minutes, it will forever hold a special place in my heart.”
Des Rocs announced his debut album in July with the release of “MMC.” The riotous track received instant praise from Loudwire (“addictive”) and Consequence of Sound (“infectious and eclectic”), as well as Rolling Stone and SPIN. His upcoming tour, DES ROCS ALIVE, will hit 20+ iconic venues around the country such as The Troubadour in Los Angeles, The Turf Club in St. Paul and a hometown album release show on November 4 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Des will also be performing at Firefly Music Festival on September 25 in Dover, DE, featuring Billie Eilish, Tame Impala and Lizzo, and at the sold out Aftershock Festival on October 8 alongside Metallica, Rancid, and more.
