Daniel Tamaraebi Itombra aka Tamaraebi was born in Lagos to parents who worked for the UN. The family moved around a lot, before finally settling in Leeds when he was 16. It was here that Tamaraebi, whose childhood listening had been limited to gospel and (his father’s passion) country, first heard hip hop and “properly fell in love with music”. Since then, his journey has really flourished.
Having found support for his previous singles in The Times, Evening Standard, Notion, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, and Trench among others, plus radio support at Radio 1, BBC London, BBC Wales, BBC Leeds, Jazz FM and Amazing Radio, the videos for ‘Brown Angel’ and ‘Telephone’ have also received over 250,000 combined views on YouTube.
In 2021, the artist released his highly-praised EP ‘Spectrum’, continuing his run of bold and exciting offerings to date.
