Although best known for their 2006 hit single ‘Young Folks’, an international smash that landed them a top 20 single in the UK as well as use on the soundtrack to video game FIFA 08 and in the opening title sequence to the pilot episode of US TV show Gossip Girl, Sweden’s Peter Bjorn And John have been a stalwart of the Scandinavian music scene since the late 90s.
Now with eight studio albums under their belt, their third ‘Writer’s Block’ being named in Pitchfork’s top 50 albums of 2006, the band have recently teamed up with fellow Swedish musicians Lykke Li and Miike Snow to create the artist collective and label INGRID, aimed at promoting and producing great Swedish music. Peter Bjorn And John have also collaborated with Drake on his 2009 single ‘Let’s Call It Off’ and provided the vocals for Claptone’s 2015 release ‘Puppet Theatre’.
