Having recently released their bewitching, disco infused new single ‘Magic Hour’ to a rapturous response including hitting the #2 spot on the Hype Machine Chart; The Modern Strangers today unveil the video for the new track, which was shot on a glacier in Iceland and beyond. Watch the video HERE

"We were really lucky to find some cheap flights to Iceland, where fittingly, the 4 hours of daylight they have when we went are always "Magic Hour". We wanted somewhere with huge scenery for the imagery; everywhere you look there is simply spectacular.  It was pretty challenging, given that after the 4 hours of light, it goes dark incredibly fast, so we shot the rest of the video in our homeland of Dungeness and Camber." explains frontman Max Davenport.

‘Magic Hour’ comes hot on the heels of touring the UK in support of Flor for the second time and supporting All Twins at Oslo. It was produced by Gordon Mills Jr and is taken from their forthcoming ‘Visions EP’, which is set for release on July 12th. To celebrate the EP release they’ll be hosting an EP launch party show at The Fiddler, Kilburn High Road, London on July 11th. Limited tickets still available HERE.

Fronted by brothers Max & Archie Davenport, the Tunbridge Wells band first sprang to life off the back of debut single 'Vanilla', earning them early support from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1. Subsequently self-releasing seminal singles 'Hot Rain', 'Margarita' and 'Coco Hello' in the midst of a busy summer of shows. Winning over new fans eager to hear more from their incendiary live set and leading to signing a publishing deal with BMG. Last summer saw them hitting stages across the UK on their first tour, a plethora of festivals (Latitude, Isle of Wight, Standon Calling and The Great Escape amongst others) to their first European dates, supporting Flor, including shows in Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam (along with a headline set for Gibraltar's National Day celebrations).

Following on from the band's debut EP 'Meltdown Mechanics' released in June last year to wide support from key blogs, tastemakers and streaming platforms (clocking up over a million plays on Spotify), the band have been working on tracks in LA with their producer Gordon Mills Jr, ready to unleash their sophomore EP.

2019 saw them start the year with sell out shows in London, Manchester and Coventry, along with being picked by Annie Mac for her first "Future sounds" feature of the year and Jack Saunder's "Next Wave"; further showing the band to be far more than just algorithm approved purveyors of perfect guitar pop. (You can’t fault scientific research, see the clip here

Their unique brand of spiralling, euphoric electronic indie pop is continuing to inject a sense of fun back into guitar music.
