"there’s a breezy quality to her electronic compositions that almost border on otherworldly.” Nylon

"Hildur’s burnished indie pop is the perfect outlet for friend-making and toe-tapping, a mixture between Sia and Chairlift.”
Consequence of Sound

"Hildur isn’t all about hit-making and high-fiving, she’s also here to talk about progressive equality rights.”
The 405

Rising Icelandic pop artist Hildur releases her brand new single ‘Work’ on June 28th through Anti Fragile Music. ‘Work’ is the final single to be released from Hildur’s highly anticipated ‘Intuition EP’, which will be released simultaneously with ‘Work’. Listen to ‘Work’ HERE

"Work is a fun and quirky song about new love and strong feelings - and then putting in some work to make it last. This is the last single of the EP, Intuition, which has dealt with the themes of following your intuition and believing in your gut feeling. I believe that love relies heavily on that gut feeling and when you meet someone you really click with you are willing to do everything and anything to make the relationship “work”. So let’s get to work!" explains Hildur.

The ‘Intuition EP’ features five tracks including preview singles ‘Picture Perfect’, which has already amassed over 2 million streams, her most recent single 'Woman At War' which is a stirring and emboldened battle cry for equality, '1993' a nostalgia laden, uplifting anthem about learning to trust in oneself, ‘Everyday’ and new single ‘Work’. Speaking about the EP Hildur says, “It’s pop with a message. I was intrigued to write music about other feelings than love and some of the matters quite heavy, like anxiety or self-confidence issues. I think the EP has a very broad and colourful sound that is fresh and thoughtful. It’s mostly electronic indie pop, but with a twist I would say.”

Having already won Pop Song of the Year (‘I’ll Walk With You’) at the Icelandic Music Awards in 2017 and nominated as Newcomer of the Year in the same year she’s truly one to watch.

She’s already picked up lots online tastemaker support including, NYLON, Consequence of Sound, EarmilkThe 405, Song of the Day  (1993) on The Line of Best Fit, CLASH, Record of the Day's Track of the Day on International Women’s Day, God Is In The TV, The Most Radicalist to name a few.

Hildur is a multi-faceted rising female pop star from the tiny (yet magnanimous) island country of Iceland. Her single ‘Picture Perfect’ debuted on 6 Spotify New Music Friday playlists: global, USA, Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Denmark and has had over 2 million streams. As Iceland’s rising pop star, Hildur is more than just a singer. She is also a songwriter (top liner), lyricist and professionally trained classical cellist.

However, don’t expect sweet-as-sugar pop from her. This Scandinavian musician also uses her craft as a platform to spread a message - one of gender equality and positive role models - that she also embodies in life. Hildur’s self-awareness as a woman in the music industry and her need to lead by example for gender equality is noticeable in her music, image and team she chooses to work with. And with this she launches her #TrustYourself campaign. Hildur is a natural storyteller, she embodies it in everything she does. Her life experiences have taught her to trust herself and her intuition and these stories serve as tools to help guide her. Through her experiences she’s learned to trust herself, she’s now calling on fans to share their stories of how they’ve learned to #TrustYourself.
