After an impressive 2020, which saw her previously shared singles ‘Closure’ and ‘Devils’ land radio plays on BBC Radio 1, 6Music, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio and tastemaker support from the likes of CLASH, Under The Radar, God Is In The TV, and Breaking More Waves to name but a few, emerging alt-pop artist Natalie McCool is now ready to kick off her 2021 in style as she returns with her latest euphoric offering ‘A Sun Going Down’.

Lifted from her forthcoming new album, ‘A Sun Going Down’ sees her channel more of that rich and vibrant sound that has impressed so many of late. With her bold and effortless vocals layered over a warm and effervescent bed of sweeping synths and pulsing production, her latest release cements her as one of the more captivating and enticing names rising right now.

Speaking about her new single, she said, "Written & recorded just before lockdown, this song was birthed at a very tumultuous time for me personally, and as the rest of 2020 proved, professionally too.

“This song is not about the obvious things that happened last year, more about my personal mindset and feelings, it’s about the dawning of intuition, a slow but staggering realisation that you don’t need a person, and the finality of walking forward without them - forever."

Natalie McCool is also planning a number of live shows taking place throughout the year. See her full list of live shows so far below.

30th July - Kendal Calling, Cumbria, UK

7th October - FOCUS Wales, Wrexham, UK

2019 proved to be a transitional year for Liverpool based artist Natalie McCool, and 2020 saw her forging a new path for herself, having built a strong foundation to achieve great things. Her early single ‘Someone Nue’ saw her invited to support Aurora and She Drew The Gun, alongside playing many of her own headline shows across the UK. Her cover of ‘Wondrous Place’ by Liverpool legend Billy Fury was chosen by Sky to head up the advertising campaign for their highly-praised drama series ‘The Third Day’, a collaboration with HBO starring Jude Law and Naomie Harris, and produced by Brad Pitt’s production company. Check out the trailer here.

Natalie also hosts a monthly podcast series called McCool & The Gang, to explore different parts of the music industry with featured guests she has collaborated with in some form or another, including Chris Hawkins, The Whyte Horses, Hattie Pearson and Silent Cities.

The LIPA graduate released her previous album ‘The Great Unknown’ in 2016, which saw media support from the likes of The Sunday Times, Q and The Line of Best Fit. Her single ‘Cardiac Arrest’ was also playlisted on BBC Radio 1 in the lead up to the release of the album.

2021 is set to a big year for this incredibly talented and timeless artist.
