Following on from the release of their long-awaited new single ‘Dream Never Dies’ earlier this year, their first official offering since 2018, Los Angeles’ Lo Moon have now returned once again to unveil the alternative version of their latest effort.
While the original recording came accompanied with rich soundscape production and a layered composition, this new version of ‘Dream Never Dies’ aims to capture the raw and organic sound the band conceived while writing it. Performing it in an almost adhoc live environment, their new rendition looks to highlight the more ethereal and atmospheric tones of the song, and create a more vivid and intimate listening experience.

Adding about the new version, the band said, "We wanted to record a live version of Dream Never Dies that further explores the nostalgia of the song. We got together in my garage, put up a few microphones and worked to capture a different spirit than the original. This is Dream Never Dies in its most vulnerable form."
This alt version will be available to buy exclusively as part of a limited edition cassette b-side to Dream Never Dies. Click HERE to order.
‘Dream Never Dies’ is the first new song since their self-titled debut -- a dark, luscious collection of songs full of crescendo rock and sparkling electronics - spanned the breadth of human highs and lows. The record could sit happily among the likes of Talk Talk, Roxy Music, early Coldplay, and the cinematic scope of Sigur Ros. Lauded for its‘ shimmering, immersive and otherworldly’ (NPR) qualities, Lo Moon received critical international praise from the likes of The New York Times, Billboard, Vice, NME, The Sunday Times, DIY and many more. Elsewhere, their songs hit the top 3 on Billboard’s AAA chart and gained international radio support from stations including KCRW, BBC 6Music & Radio 1 and NPR. The band also appeared on U.S. late night TV shows Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show with James Corden and played more than 150 dates, headlining in North America and Europe, and supporting the likes of The War On Drugs, Phoenix, Glass Animals, Air, London Grammar, and Chvrches along the way. Elsewhere, they capped off their touring with festival performances including Governor’s Ball in NYC, Lollapalooza in Chicago and All Points East in London.
Lo Moon will be touring through the U.S. and Europe opening for The War On Drugs next year; dates are below.
Lo Moon are: Matt Lowell (vocals, guitar and keys), Cristanta Baker (vocals, keys, bass), Sam Stewart (guitar), and Sterling Laws (drums).
