Indie-Psych duo Hi Frisco return with their uplifting new single 'Ever Again', out October 20th
LISTEN TO ‘EVER AGAIN’ HERE
Following up the glorious reception they received for their stunning debut album ‘Goodbye, Blue Monday’ last year, with the singles going on to receive airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio London, named as Jack Saunders’ Next Wave, and receiving tastemaker support from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit, CLASH, GIGWISE, Indie Shuffle, WONDERLAND, Fault Magazine, The Most Radicalist, Atwood Magazine and Record of the Day, as well as their recent comeback offering ‘Uno Mas’, indie-psych heroes Hi Frisco are back at it once again as they deliver their uplifting new single ‘Ever Again’.
Continuing their ventures into the broader and more euphoric avenue of the indie-psych sound, ‘Ever Again’ builds on the momentum behind their initial full-length and delivers a warm and sweeping return. With its fresh and soaring aesthetic, measured perfectly against some sweet and atmospheric vocals, the duo are quickly establishing themselves as one of the more enticing outfits working today.
Speaking about the new track, they added, "The overriding message is one of positivity, to be present and enjoy the highs as they come around, to live in the moment. Finding strength to cope with the lows that hit us hard. We try to find comfort on the rollercoaster that is everyday life. Ever again was an accidental trigger for us to explore a more electronic sound. We were trying to find a way to bridge our usual processes with the physics distance between us both and the lockdown regulations. Unable to record a live drummer in our studio, Felix half jokingly stuck a house beat under one of Henry’s demos and it became a bit of a eureka moment. Both Ever Again and Uno Mas are a bit of a symbiotic pair in that regard, not entirely in keeping with the Hi Frisco tracks we’d done before, yet still with enough of that sound in them that they fit into our world. Normal service may or may not resume soon."
Along with news of their new single, Hi Frisco have also announced their plans for a string of exclusive UK performances later this year. See the full list of UK tour dates below.

The pair, originally hailing from Blackpool (Henry) and Yorkshire (Felix), create in their studio, Calmer Than You Are (one of the many Big Lebowski references surrounding the studio) based in a block of creative spaces in East London. They built the studio with another friend, kitting it out to be cosy enough for them to virtually live out of while promoting creativity. It’s the kind of place to lose days in, though you’d be safe in the knowledge that anything put down in this space would no doubt come out sounding special. What they create is the perfect middle ground between experimentation and smart pop writing.
Named after a greeting from the novel, Atlas Shrugged - Henry has been writing and performing as a session musician and guitarist for several years, with work alongside Say Lou Lou, Chlöe Howell, Sunset Sons and Sparkadia. Felix, meanwhile, takes on more of a producer role in the two. He’s worked as a studio engineer with some of the biggest names in the game and has also produced songs for some of Britain’s most exciting new bands like YAK, Crows, Babeheaven and more.
“Around the end of 2017 I'd written a load of demos and no idea what the fuck I wanted to do,” Henry says about their origins. The pair started running in the same circles in London towards the end of 2017, and when Henry took them to Felix in a casual capacity, the two hit it off creatively immediately. They bonded over bands like Love, The Beatles, Kinks as well as current bands like Metronomy, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Caribou and this lead to the conception of Hi Frisco.
In 2020, Hi Frisco released their luminescent debut album ‘Goodbye, Blue Monday’. The record went onto receive enormous praise and acclaim from critics, and was supported by BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio London, as well as receiving tastemaker support from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit, CLASH, GIGWISE, Indie Shuffle, Wonderland, Fault Magazine, The Most Radicalist, Atwood Magazine and Record of the Day.
