Following on from the release of their highly-coveted EP ‘Communication’, which has now garnered more than 30 millions streams online, and subsequent standalone single ‘Uncontrollable’ early last year, Welsh pop duo Dusky Grey now return to deliver their long-awaited new offering ‘Get Easy’ on the 12th June.

Originally written in 2017 when the pair had just started their new lives as full time musicians, ‘Get Easy’ follows that same upbeat and joyous train of thought that ran throughout their most recent EP. With its fresh and vibrant direction, mixed with their own bright and wistful dual vocals, this new delight sees them come back to us in stellar form, brimming with creative energy.

Speaking about their latest release, the band’s Catty Hopkins said, “This song is so special to us. We wrote it when we had just entered the music industry. It’s about that feeling when you’re young and you want to be yourself so badly but you also want to fit in with everyone else.”

While bandmate Gethin Williams added, “We wrote it immediately after a party we went to. We met up with our co-writer James Earp - who’s really become an industry father to us - and told him about how we wanted to go out and dance but the vibe was completely off.  No one was on the dancefloor and no one really seemed to be having a good time at all, so we came together and tried to forget about what everyone else was doing.”

Since the release of their new EP ‘Communication’, the pair have spent the year working on their collective sound as well as Catty’s solo project and Geth’s production work.

Speaking about the two working together again, Gethin stated, “It’s nerve wracking and it’s exciting. You never know what’s going to happen. We’ve taken a bit of time away to get back to ourselves so this new era feels like it’s completely ours. These songs are honest and fun and completely what we want to say.”

In 2019, Dusky Grey released their infectious single 'A Little Bit'. It was heralded by BBC Radio 1's Best New Pop on the week of release and hit the Shazam top 100 after it featured on Love Island. It has already racked up over 3.3 million streams and is featured on numerous Spotify playlists including; NMF UK, The Pop List, All New All Now and Summer Hits UK and was Apple’s; ‘Best Of The Week’ and A List pop playlists. They recently recorded their take of 'Islands' by The xx for Mahogany's COVERS sessions and filmed an Ellesse session for 'A Little Bit' and ‘One Night’.

Since their emergence in 2017, Dusky Grey have found themselves racking up high acclaim for their string of releases so far. Highlights include being selected as BBC Radio 1's Introducing 'Track of the Week' for 'Call Me Over', Spotify New Music Friday UK and Apple's Best New UKA List on BBC Radio WalesSunday Brunch video plays plus support from tastemakers including Pop Justice, Earmilk, TMRW Magazine and even making it onto The Times - Essential Tracks.
