Marking the 25th anniversary of Definitely Maybe, ‘Listen Up’ is brand new podcast series offering an eye-witness account of the remarkable events leading up to and following the release of Oasis’ iconic debut album.

The four-part podcast series created by Matt Everitt’s production company Cup & Nuzzle with Big Brother Recordings, ‘Listen Up’, features contributions from fans, friends, fellow musicians and the band’s inner circle - this is the people’s story of that period, told by those who witnessed what happened when Oasis went supersonic. The first episode is available now with today marking the 25th anniversary of ‘Definitely Maybe’ - with a further 3 episodes to follow at weekly intervals.

‘Listen Up’ features contributions from people involved in the making of the record including producer Owen Morris and engineer Anjali Dutt, musicians Peter Hook, Lars Ulrich, Clint Boon and Felix White, TV presenter/DJ Dermot O’Leary, Alistair Campbell – who was Tony Blair's spokesman and campaign director at the time - and journalists including Dominic Mohan and Hamish MacBain.

As previously announced, original content from the era is being made available throughout August – including the ‘Slide Away Cover Challenge’ and ‘Definitely Or Maybe’ quiz.  Visit www.oasisinet.com for details and follow #DefMaybe25.  In addition, two limited edition vinyl formats will be released tomorrow – a picture disc via the band’s online store and a silver coloured LP available at retail. ‘Definitely Maybe’ was the fastest-ever selling debut album in the UK at the time, and marked the point when Oasis became a cultural phenomenon. The album went seven times platinum in the UK while selling over five million copies worldwide. The four singles – ‘Supersonic’, ‘Shakermaker’, ‘Live Forever’ and ‘Cigarettes And Alcohol ‘ are established classics while songs that were never released outside of the album’s confines such as ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ and ‘Slide Away’ also remain anthems and radio staples known to every generation of music fan.

‘Definitely Maybe’ frequently appears on ‘best album of all time’ polls and is widely considered to be the best debut album ever made.  A quarter of a century following its release, it’s songs sound as fresh and relevant as they did in 1994.
