Rosborough releases new single 'Burn Blue' on Ignition Records

‘Burn Blue’ is the incredible new single from Derry based singer songwriter Rosborough, available 8th March on Ignition Records. ‘Burn Blue;’ the epic, evocative track that launched Rosborough’s career in his native Northern Ireland is accompanied by a stunning version of Robyn’s ‘With Every Heartbeat’ as its B Side. Rosborough has already proven he is the master re-interpreter of classic songs with his recent stunningly authentic cover of Daniel Johnston’s ‘True Love Will Find You In The End’ was quoted by CLASH as being “…a sparse but poetic rendering, driven by one of Rosborough's purest, most heart-felt vocals yet.”

‘Burn Blue’ follows the 2018 single 'Fall To Earth', which was playlisted at Radio X and awarded Track of The Fortnight in Hot Press (“sounds nothing short of world beating”) and also ‘Another Lesson’, which received radio support from Radio 1, Radio X and 6 Music.

‘Burn Blue’ was awarded Single Of The Fortnight by Hot Press magazine and described as “jawdropping” by Daily Mirror (Ulster) whilst also being nominated for Best Single at the Northern Ireland’s Music Prize awards. Radio support came from every major Irish network, and Rosborough was invited to perform at the prestigious Other Voices Festival in Dingle alongside artists including Loyle Carner and Django Django.

Rosborough concluded 2018 supporting DMAs on tour; “An honest, contemplative individual with a set to match, Rosborough is one of the best shows around right now.” (Chordblossom.) He also released a very special acoustic release, ‘The Paper Boats’ EP, which included acoustic versions of his singles plus his stunning Daniel Johnston cover.

Growing up in a music-obsessed household – “my parents never said, ‘turn that down’, it was always ‘turn it up!’" - Glenn Rosborough first picked up an acoustic guitar aged 10, was writing songs at 11, and gigging at 12, being snuck through the back doors of pubs for open mic nights. His musical growth was fuelled by his love for anything “dark and subversive”, from Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel and Tom Waits to The Mars Volta, Black Sabbath and Bjork. Rosborough was however, only ever interested in creating his own sound; music with an utterly transformative and vivid effect.
