‘DARKER DAYS’ THE NEW ALBUM OUT NOW ON INGRID VIA AWAL
“Peter, Bjorn and John’s most immediate album to date - indeed, the songs practically explode from the speakers in iridescent brilliance.” CLASH
“The record has an almost entirely upbeat (if sometimes wistful) feel, awash with hugely infectious riffs, falsetto vocals, and – in some cases – choruses you just can’t wait for, like that in the harmonic majesty of ‘One For The Team.’” LOUD & QUIET
Ahead of their upcoming European Tour in March, Peter Bjorn and John have today dropped a new EP, aptly titled ‘EPBJ’. Recorded during the same sessions as their acclaimed new LP ‘Darker Days’, the three songs featured on the EP – “Bones,” “Darker Days” and “Saying Goodbye” – showcase a softer and more introspective side of the band.

‘Darker Days’ earned the Swedish trio some raves from the media with a number of outlets claiming the album was the band’s best release since 2006’s ‘Writer’s Block’ LP. The album was included in ABC News’ ‘50 Best Albums of 2018’ who wrote “…their inherent chemistry as musicians make this trio special and this collection, with its experimental edges, provides another excellent addition to their discography.” Other coverage included NPR, Pitchfork, Mother Jones, Stereogum, Billboard, BlackBook, The Guardian, FLOOD, Clash, and The Line of Best Fit among others.
Peter Bjorn and John are perhaps best known for their timeless 2006 hit ‘Young Folks’, which was recently included in Rolling Stone’s '100 Greatest Songs Of The Century So Far' and has racked up over 130m Spotify streams. The track has also been the subject of a How We Made feature in The Guardian. Alongside fellow Swedish musicians including Lykke Li and Miike Snow, in 2012 the trio launched the artist collective and record label INGRID, which has a studio and office in Stockholm.
