After forming in the early 80s, Happy Mondays were instrumental in the now legendary Manchester music scene, which later gave rise to the likes of The Stone Roses and Oasis.
The band’s first three studio albums ‘Bummed’, ‘Madchester Rave On’ and ‘Pills ‘n’ Thrills And Bellyaches’ have become iconic staples of the Hacienda club venue’s influence on British music, with the latter going platinum in sales.
Since then, the band have reformed multiple times throughout their career, with their current incarnation running since 2012. They have also seen their debut album ‘Bummed’ awarded the Classic Album award at the 2012 Q Awards, as well as been named as The Ivor’s Inspiration at the 2016 Ivor Novello Awards.
